The staff at the Algoma Community Legal Clinic provide Tenant Duty Counsel services.

Tenant Duty Counsel provides information and legal resources to eligible tenants appearing at hearings before the Landlord and Tenant Board (LTB).

Tenant Duty Counsel is available to advise tenants about their rights and responsibilities under the Residential Tenancies Act and the potential implications and options regarding proceedings at the LTB.

Tenant Duty Counsel may also provide limited brief services, including brief appearances before the LTB, to assist the most vulnerable tenants based on factors such as language, culture and disability.

Landlord and Tenant Board hearings take place every three weeks on Tuesdays at the Great Northern Hotel and Convention Centre (formally known as the Best Western) on Great Northern Road.  To see a schedule of these dates please go to our calander.
